You can rent tech from across Canada, with Poptronic.

Select your desired product at and simply order it online for rent. 

Here’s how it works:

  1. Choose your rental period, with a week being the minimum amount of time you can book for.
  2. Place your product in the Poptronic rental cart, create a customer account and pay for your rental.
  3. Your device will be delivered to your home. The rental period only begins when you’ve received your device.
  4. After your minimum term has expired, you can continue to rent your device or end the rental by returning it free of charge. 

Before you send your rented tech back to Poptronic, you must remove all personal data and the activation lock. Otherwise, we can’t access the device and will have to charge you.

This is how to do it:

1. If you paired your iPhone with an Apple Watch, unpair the Apple Watch first. 

2. Back up your device if you have important data stored on it.

3. Sign out of iCloud and “iTunes & App Store”:

  • If you're using iOS 10.3 or later, tap Settings > [your name]. Scroll down and tap Sign Out. Enter your Apple ID password and tap Turn Off.
  • If you're using iOS 10.2 or earlier, tap Settings > iCloud > Sign Out. Tap Sign Out again, then tap Delete from My [device] and enter your Apple ID password. Then go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID > Sign Out.

4. Go back to Settings and tap General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. If you turned on Find My, you might need to enter your Apple ID and password. 

5. If asked for your device passcode or Restrictions passcode, enter it. Then tap Erase [device].

6. In order to remove your old device from your list of trusted devices, open, and:

  • Go to Settings > [tap on your name].
  • Select a device from the list.
  • Tap the X next to your device to remove it from the list.
  • If you’ve removed your iPhone or iPad correctly, Find My [device] and Activation Lock should be turned off. 

When you rent a computer or laptop from Poptronic, it arrives to you as if you just bought it new. Software that is subject to costs and licensing, such as Microsoft Office or Photoshop, isn’t preinstalled and must be purchased if necessary. Most software comes with a trial period, so we encourage you to take advantage of those programs.

Poptronic rents new and as good as new products. Before products are rented out again, they go through a detailed quality check and multi-stage processing, so that each device rented from Poptronic arrives in flawless condition. If your device isn’t as expected, our customer service is happy to help. 

If your product arrives damaged or with severe signs of use, please contact customer support immediately via our contact form. Document the damage by photographing it and sending the image to customer support by email. Please report and document the damage within 3 days of delivery, otherwise we must assume that the damage has occurred during the rental period.

In case of damage, Poptronic covers 90% of the repair costs. However, we are not responsible for theft, loss or intentional damage. If your product is lost or stolen, please contact us immediately. We do not yet offer any additional insurance for these cases.

All devices are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with 70% isopropyl when they come back to us. Products that are worn close to the body, such as in-ear headphones and fitness trackers, are also treated with an ultrasonic cleaner.
